Submission Guidelines

The American Journal of Interdisciplinary Studies (AJIS) welcomes original, high-quality, and unpublished research contributions that reflect interdisciplinary or multidisciplinary perspectives. To ensure a smooth and ethical publishing process, all authors are required to follow the submission guidelines outlined below.

Manuscript Preparation

Language:

  • All manuscripts must be written in English, using clear, concise, and scholarly language.
  • Authors whose native language is not English are encouraged to use professional editing services before submission.

Formatting Requirements:

  • File Format: Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx)
  • Font Style: Century Gothic
  • Font Size: 11-point
  • Line Spacing: 1.5
  • Margins: 1 inch (2.54 cm) on all sides
  • Alignment: Justified
  • Page Numbers: Bottom-right corner on each page

Manuscript Structure:

The manuscript should follow this structure:

  1. Title Page (Title, Author(s), Affiliation, Corresponding Author Email)
  2. Abstract (150–250 words)
  3. Keywords (4–6 keywords)
  4. Introduction
  5. Literature Review
  6. Methodology
  7. Results / Findings
  8. Discussion
  9. Conclusion and Recommendations
  10. References (APA 7th edition style)
  11. Appendices (if applicable)

Figures and Tables:

  • Embed within the manuscript near their first reference.
  • Include titles/captions and ensure proper numbering.
  • Use high-resolution visuals.

Cover Letter:

A brief cover letter must accompany the submission, stating:

  • Manuscript title
  • Confirmation of originality and non-submission elsewhere
  • Type of processing (Standard or Fast-Track)
  • A short summary of the study’s interdisciplinary contribution

Acknowledgment:

You will receive an email acknowledgment within 3–5 business days of submission.
